Join Tom's Team
Our world needs saints like Tom Vander Woude.
Tom’s Team is for those who want to take a more active part in the work of the Tom Vander Woude Guild: sharing Tom’s story, praying that his cause for sainthood may be opened, if it be God’s will, and striving to imitate the virtues seen in his life.
By joining, you acknowledge in a simple and direct way the significance of Tom’s life and your wish to be part of the Guild’s work.

Tom's Example
Tom's Team is not a fan club or a mailing list. It is an invitation to prayer, service, witness, and imitation of virtue.
On September 8, 2008, Tom Vander Woude gave his life to save his son Joseph, who had fallen into a septic tank. Without hesitation, Tom jumped in after him, lifting his son so he could breathe.
This selfless act of fatherly love exemplifies Christ’s teaching that “No greater love has a man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
Tom’s sacrifice grew out of a life of simple, yet profound, virtue and character dedicated to his vocation. Members of Tom’s Team are invited to follow that same path in their own homes and communities.

"No greater love has a man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
