This summer has been a busy one for everyone associated with the Guild and Tom’s potential Cause. Chris Vander Woude has spoken at several events describing his father’s life and the process toward the opening of his Cause for Canonization. Chris has also provided Tom’s story on two YouTube interviews which you can watch on the following links.

An initial 88-page draft “libellus” which contains the various required information and facts that might be needed to begin the Diocesan Phase of Investigations for Tom’s potential Cause, along with a list of potential witnesses, has been delivered to the Vice-Postulator, Art Bennett. He, in turn, has provided it to the diocesan Chancellor, Msgr. deLadurantaye, for his review and feedback.
More importantly, there were two new “prayer favors” that were relayed to the Guild. They are numbers 7 & 8 in the Prayer Favors tab on the website: www.tvwguild.org These prayer favors are associated with two beautiful newborn baby boys, Thomas and Francis. The prayer favors their parents experienced and related to us were truly heart-warming, merciful, and absolutely wonderful. They are a “must read”.
Finally, we at the Guild, have been blessed with an exceptional new Board Member. John DeJak, the recent Headmaster of Chelsea Academy in Front Royal, Virginia is now our seventh board member. John is currently the Executive Director, Secretariate of Catholic Education at the USCCB. We are extremely lucky to have him on our Board of Directors.
While the Guild continues our efforts to promote and support Tom’s potential Cause, there are simple things others can do to help support also. They are:
